The Torus — BalanceAI Network Mainnet is Now Live!
As of November 24th, the first iteration (V0) of The Torus BalanceAI Network Mainnet is officially live. This initial launch introduces core functionalities, with planned updates to be rolled out in phases, prioritizing stability, security, and seamless operation.
Initial Deployment: Core Components
The mainnet launch will introduce the following essential components, providing the foundation for a functional and secure blockchain network:
1.Native Token ($BAI)
- BAI is the network’s utility token, facilitating staking, transactions, and validator rewards.
2.Validators
- Operating on a Substrate-based consensus mechanism, validators will secure the network through block production and finalization.

3.Staking
- Staking allows participants to delegate BAI to validators, fostering active network participation while securing the chain.

4.RPC Access
- DWELLIR — Official Remote Procedure Call endpoints are vital for developers and dApps to interact seamlessly with the network. The initial setup ensures reliable communication with the blockchain’s nodes for querying, transactions, and deployment.

Community Rewards Distribution
As part of the launch phase, rewards from the initial community rewards campaign will be distributed throughout the week. This initiative is designed to onboard early contributors, incentivize network activity, and foster ecosystem growth.
Additional Interaction Opportunities:
Tasks related to the testing group will be activated, enabling early community holders to directly interact with the BalanceAI contract and the $BAI token. These interactions will provide hands-on opportunities for users to explore the token’s functionality and actively contribute to the ecosystem’s early development.
Phased Rollout Strategy
To maintain the stability and reliability of the mainnet, updates and integrations will be deployed in batches. This phased approach allows us to validate each component thoroughly before advancing to the next stage.
Subsequent Updates
Over the next few weeks, we will progressively integrate the following features:
- The Bridge: Enabling cross-chain interoperability with wBAI on Ethereum Network. (estimated to be released next week)
- AI Agents VM (Centralized Version): Deploying virtual machine for AI-Agents VM, laying the groundwork for the decentralized version and future updates. (estimated to be released the following week)
